Don't just tell your kids to grow closer to God. Show them how.

We tell our kids to pray, spend time with God, and read their Bibles. But how often do we actually teach them how? Most kids hear that these things are important, but they don't always know what it looks like to do them on their own. The Spiritual Disciplines Series gives your family five studies rooted in Scripture that walk kids and teens through the practical side of growing in their faith. From learning how to pray and build a quiet time to studying the Bible, stewarding what God has given them, and sharing Jesus with others, each study gives kids real tools they can use for the rest of their lives.

Bible studies included in this series:

AMEN - Approaches learning to pray by including what the Bible says about why we pray, the importance of prayer, and a framework for how to pray.

DEVELOPING A QUIET TIME - Teaches the importance of a consistent quiet time and helps build habits that will last a lifetime, including songs, memory verses, and prayers for a more fruitful time spent with God.

SEEK HIM - Shows that God’s Word is the center of everything we say and do, and then teaches how to read and apply it step-by-step, showing kids what it means to be lifelong learners of God’s Word.

WELL DONE - Gives a biblical foundation for stewardship, teaching kids to reorient their attitudes toward the things God gives them and recognize the privilege and responsibility of stewarding their gifts well.

SHINE - Teaches kids how to shine the light of Jesus, gives them the tools they need to use their own testimony as a means of sharing the gospel, and helps them understand that the power to shine light in the world comes from Christ alone.

Five habits. One study at a time.

Your kids won't just hear that spiritual disciplines matter. They will learn how to practice them. In Amen, they will discover what the Bible says about prayer and learn a framework for how to pray with purpose. In Developing a Quiet Time, they will build habits for spending consistent, meaningful time with God. In Seek Him, they will learn how to read and apply Scripture step by step, becoming lifelong students of God's Word. In Well Done, they will develop a biblical understanding of stewardship and learn to honor God with what He has given them. And in Shine, they will gain the confidence and tools to share the Gospel and let the light of Christ shine through their lives.

Bible Study FAQs

  • What do you believe?

We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth. Read more here.

  • What age level should I buy?

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

  • How many copies should I buy?

You'll want to purchase one copy per child at their specific age level. This will enable children to study at their level and record their own drawings and responses to the Word.

We highly encourage you to make sure that each child can participate by having their own book on their own level. You can learn more about why in this video.

  • How long are your studies?

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

  • What version of the Bible do you use?

There is no scripture written out in our studies, only references. When it comes to growing faith, it's crucial that kids look up passages in the Bible for themselves and our studies are written to help them do that!

We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.
