Most Common Questions

This is by far the most common question we get around here so I made a quick video to give you an in-depth look at the differences.

Bible studies are written for families to work through together, either in devotions or homeschool Bible time. Each member of the family works on his/her level, while studying the same topic each day. The Youth version is written for students to complete on their own, if desired, and is recommended for ages 8 and up. The Junior version is written for ages 4-8 with the student contributing primarily through drawing.

The choice is really up to you. Both have advantages. Digital can be used for multiple children and is not consumable. BUT- you do have to print it. Softcover will be mailed to your home and is already done for you. Easy peasy. But our books are made to be written in, so it's best to have one copy for each child.

If you are buying digital, you only need one copy. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc) you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.

If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book as it is designed to recording their drawings and responses to the Word.

I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers.

I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.

Absolutely! You can find samples of each product on the main product page right under the title. Simply click on the tab that says "peek inside." You'll find a prompt to click a link that will allow you to download a pdf sample of that particular product.

We strive to ship to you as quickly as possible. Typically, orders are processed within 1-2 days and shipped either Priority or First class (both options taking about 2-3 days to reach you.) You will recieve an email with tracking information as soon as the items hit the mail stream at the post office.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and offer a 30 day return policy on all unused, new condition softcover products. You can ship them back with a note detailing your email address, any issues with the product, and whether or not you'd like to exchange or be refunded.

For digital products, we can not offer refunds unless there was a purchasing error. Please contact us, if you have any questions about that.

Our return shipping address is: PO Box 1711 Taylors, SC 29687

A site license is perfect for church groups or small groups wishing to purchase a digital product and make copies to distribute to their group. This license is unlimited for churches, missionaries, and similar groups. You may purchase it right on the page of the product you are interested in.

Site licenses include both the junior and youth versions where applicable.

If your group does not fit in the guidelines described above, you are likely still eligible to use the site license. However, please contact me at help@notconsumed.com and tell me a little bit about what you are planning to do and we will work it out.

Please note: a site license should not be used to share books between families. Each family should purchase their own book. The site license allows a church or ministry leader to make copies to distribute as they are teaching. NOT to distribute the entire book as a home based study for families.

If you are interested in ordering more than 10 softcover books for a group or to resell in a retail store, please reach out to us for a discounted rate (email help@notconsumed.com.) Each book will be slightly different in price, so please be sure you tell us exactly what you have planned. We look forward to working with you!

FAQ for Downloads

The purchasing process is pretty straightforward. However, sometimes getting an item downloaded can be tricky. I've created a simple video to help you with the steps.

As soon as you finish checking out, you will be redirected to a page that contains your product link. You may download from there. You will also get an email with a unique link. Simply click on the link and your download will start. Depending on the type of computer, your file may go into your downloads folder or onto the bar at the bottom of your web browser. I have made a video that I hope will help you with this step! Also, see the video above for help with any of these steps.

The first step in troubleshooting this one is always to check your spam box. Often times this kind of email will be filtered into there. If you still cannot find it, you can always go into your account and download the product from there. Please watch this video for info on how to do that.

If you click or tap on a link that is a zip file, the file should download automatically to your computer. A browser window or tab might also open, but you can ignore this; just close that tab. Find where the zip file was downloaded. Many computers automatically save files to a “Downloads” directory or on the desktop. If you can’t find the file, go to your computer’s search feature and search for the file by name. Once you know where the zip file is located, follow the instructions below to “unzip” the file (based on your operating system):

Windows 7

Windows 8 and 8.1

Mac OS X Lion

Mac OS X Mountain Lion

Mac OS X Mavericks

Some browsers open files in a new browser tab or window. In most browsers, this is what you should do: Go to the tab that shows the file, then go to “File” in the menu above and choose “Save As” or “Save Page As.” Your computer will then give you the option to save the file wherever you like.

Many phones don’t have the necessary software to open the file types of the freebies and digital products. Save your email and come back to download when you can use a computer. Don't forget, you can always access your downloads from within your account.

Every product has copyright protection, just like physical books, and is designed for use within your family only. If you would like your friends to know about it (and I hope you do), share a link to the page so they can come and check it out themselves! If you are looking to use materials for a church group or homeschool co-op, you will need a site license to make copies.
