Our mission is to help families GROW in faith so they can live #NotConsumed by life. We're here to come alongside you with resources that equip your family for time together in God's Word.
Our Bible studies and devotional tools are:
Gospel-centered:: We believe the truth of the Gospel should be central to all Biblical study. You'll find practical application seasoned with grace.
Bible-dependent:: We believe the Bible is the ULTIMATE source of truth. It's also 100% true as written. Kids need to be in the Word themselves so they can see these truths and apply them to their lives, instead of relying on the faith of their parents.
Sound in doctrine:: We believe in the teaching of sound doctrine as stated by Paul. While it's not always easy to understand, we feel it's important NEVER to water down doctrine, but instead break it down into bite sizes pieces for each age level.
Family-Centric:: Our studies are useful alone, but are truly in their sweet spot when used together as a family. We suggest that each member can study on their level but then come together for meaningful discussion (more about that below).
First, I want to applaud you for asking this question! It's crucial that you KNOW what you are giving your kids and that you guard your family against false teaching.
We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
Simply put, we believe the Bible is 100% true as inspired by God.
As the owner of Not Consumed, I'm often asked about the denomination I belong to. I'm not a big fan of denomination lines and prefer to stick with a literal translation of the Bible as my main source for doctrine. But if you must put me in a box (haha) I attend a Baptist church.

Our Bible studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible on their own. We want kids in the Bible! Of course, this means that you can use the translation (or version) of your choice.
We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.
