Statement of Faith
We are Bible-believing evangelical Christians. It's our mission to create products that handle the Word of God accurately and literally. We aim to get families into the Word for themselves and challenge them to read and think about it carefully rather than relying on the words and ideas of others. We believe all families should be asking about the theology of the resources they use, as nothing is neutral and everything has a worldview. Here is what we believe:
The Bible is God's Word and the final authority for everything we believe and how we live. It is completely true and trustworthy in all that it says, given to us by God down to its very words. There is one God who has always existed as three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God created all things, including human beings, by His own direct act. Salvation is a free and forever-secure gift, received by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus came in human flesh, was born of a virgin, and rose bodily from the grave. He will one day return in person, in His own body, to reign on the earth for a thousand years. This return will be personal, bodily, and premillennial.
Because a few of these truths carry a lot of weight, we want to state clearly where we stand on some key matters below.
The Bible
The 66 books of the Bible together make up the one-of-a-kind, written Word of God. Scripture is God-breathed, without error, incapable of failing, the highest authority over our lives, and fully sufficient in everything it teaches.
Everything we need to know in order to be saved is stated plainly and clearly in Scripture.
Creation
The account of how everything began, given in Genesis 1–11, is a straightforward record of events that actually happened.
The days of creation in Genesis are not long geologic ages. They were six ordinary, back-to-back, 24-hour days.
Scripture points to a recent creation of mankind and of the whole world, with roughly 4,000 years of history stretching from creation to the coming of Christ.
God created each original kind of living thing, including human beings, by a direct, supernatural act. He built variety into every kind from the start. Any change since creation has stayed within a kind. One kind has never become a different kind.
The great flood described in Genesis was a real event in history. It was global in its reach and devastating in its effects.
Humanity
Every human being is a sinner, both by inheritance from Adam and by our own choices, and so stands under the righteous judgment and condemnation of God.
Human beings are made in the image of God and exist as two sexes, male and female. These two distinct sexes are designed to complement one another, and each one reflects the image of God. Gender is an expression of biological sex, and as such, it is determined by sex.
Every human life is sacred and begins at conception, the moment of fertilization.
Because every person bears God's image, every person carries equal worth and dignity, no matter their age (including the unborn), their intelligence, their sex, their physical ability, the color of their skin, their religion, their ethnicity, or any other trait.
There is only one race: the human race, descended from Adam. Adam and Eve were the first two people, and everyone alive today traces their ancestry back to them and, later, to Noah.
The Trinity
God is one, existing eternally as three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully and completely God, sharing equally in glory and eternal majesty.
Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a life entirely free from sin.
Jesus died on the cross, offering a complete and fully satisfying payment for the sins of mankind.
Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, interceding on our behalf. One day He will return in person, bodily and visible to all, as the Judge of the living and the dead.
Salvation
Rescue from both the penalty and the power of sin comes to people in only one way: through the sacrificial death and shed blood of Jesus Christ and His complete, bodily resurrection from the dead.
Salvation rests on God's grace alone. It is a gift, received through faith alone, in Christ alone.
Anyone who has been born of God has turned from sin, has trusted the death of Christ as the full payment for that sin, and has welcomed the risen Christ as Savior, Lord, and God.
