What We Believe
Our mission is to help families GROW in faith so they can live #NotConsumed by life. We're here to come alongside you with resources that equip your family for time together in God's Word.
Everything we create is:
Anchored in a biblical worldview
God’s Word is the foundation of everything we create. We want kids in Scripture for themselves, learning to understand life through the truth of the Bible.
Created for real life
Open-and-go, flexible, and built with minimal prep, our resources are made for real homes and everyday use.
Designed for the way kids learn
Lessons are short, age-appropriate, and engaging, with hands-on learning for younger students and practical application for older ones.
Connected across subjects
We help students see how ideas fit together, understand the why behind what they’re learning, and recognize God’s design across disciplines.
Built to grow independence
Our materials help students take ownership of their work, build responsibility, and gain confidence over time.
About our Theology
First, I want to applaud you for asking this question! It's crucial that you KNOW what you are giving your kids and that you guard your family against false teaching.
We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
Simply put, we believe the Bible is 100% true as inspired by God.
As the founder of Not Consumed, I'm often asked about the denomination I belong to. I'm not a big fan of denomination lines and prefer to stick with a literal translation of the Bible as my main source for doctrine. But if you must put me in a box (haha), I attend a Baptist church.
About our Bible Version
Our Bible studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible on their own. We want kids in the Bible! Of course, this means that you can use the translation (or version) of your choice.
We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.
