Big Smiles, One Match at a Time

Flip the cards, find the match, and watch your little one's face light up every time they find a pair. This easy pre-K matching game is full of things kids notice in real life, like a fire hat, groceries, the airport, and church.

Each card is labeled, so while they’re matching pictures, they’re also seeing the words that go with them. A fire hat or police badge can start a conversation about community helpers and the work they do. Play a round together at the kitchen table, or let them play on their own. When you’re done, the cards go back in their box until next time.

With the All Around Town Matching Game, your child will:

Build memory skills by recalling where each card was flipped. Every round asks them to hold a picture in mind and find its partner, a skill that grows the more they play.

Practice spotting what’s the same and what’s different. Looking carefully at each picture is the same skill they will use later with numbers and letters.

Grow vocabulary by naming places and things from town. Name each picture as the card is flipped, from a library card to groceries, and they’ll pick up the words for the items that community helpers use each day.

Build early word recognition with every match. Each picture has its word printed on the card, so they start to see that the letters on the card stand for things they know.

Flip, Match, Learn

This is the game to grab for the in-between moments. While you’re cooking dinner, getting ready to head out, or just need a few minutes to yourself, hand your little one the box and let them flip and match on their own.

  • Thick cards that hold up to lots of play
  • Stores in its own box for quick cleanup
  • A game kids want to play again and again

In this video, Kimberly Sorgius Jones shares the heart behind Not Consumed and walks you through the core values that shape everything we create for homeschooling families.

All Around Town: Matching Game FAQ

  • What are the credentials of the Not Consumed team?

The Not Consumed team exists for one purpose: to help your family grow in faith so you can live #NotConsumed. We are homeschool parents with over 220 years of combined homeschooling experience, advanced degrees in education and curriculum design, and a deep love for serving families well.  Everything we create is anchored in Scripture. We keep it practical, clear, and easy to use because we know your days are already full. We believe the best learning happens when families gather around God’s Word together. That’s why we create resources for different ages and stages, so everyone can take part.

  • What do you believe?

We are Bible-believing evangelical Christians. It's our mission to create products that handle the Word of God accurately and literally. We aim to get families into the Word for themselves and challenge them to read and think about it carefully rather than relying on the words and ideas of others. We believe all families should be asking about the theology of the resources they use, as nothing is neutral and everything has a worldview. Here is what we believe:

The Bible is God's Word and the final authority for everything we believe and how we live. It is completely true and trustworthy in all that it says, given to us by God down to its very words. There is one God who has always existed as three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God created all things, including human beings, by His own direct act. Salvation is a free and forever-secure gift, received by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus came in human flesh, was born of a virgin, and rose bodily from the grave. He will one day return in person, in His own body, to reign on the earth for a thousand years. This return will be personal, bodily, and premillennial.
