Start with the Daily Lesson
Each day begins with a discovery question that focuses the lesson and builds curiosity.
These pages are designed to be read aloud, and then kids will complete the activities that follow. These activities reinforce what your child just learned in a creative, engaging way.
Students may need help at the beginning, but over time, they will begin working on the activities independently.
Keep It Simple
Lessons are designed to take about 30 to 60 minutes per day.
This curriculum will help develop the natural curiosity your child has while discovering all about the creatures in God’s creation!
How It All Works Together
The pieces in this curriculum work together to create a fun and interactive year of learning.
- The curriculum guides your daily lessons and gives your child opportunities to practice what they learn.
- The Animal Discovery Journal provides a place for your child to observe, record, and begin to classify animals in their own backyard.
- The reusable sticker book allows kids to place animals in their habitats and group animals together.
- At the end of the week, your child can add a sticker to their animal poster to remind them of what they have learned and build excitement for what is to come!
Each part works alongside the others so learning feels connected, not scattered.
Follow Your Child's Pace
Some days will move quickly. Others may take more time. That is normal.
This curriculum is designed to be gentle and flexible, giving your child space to grow while still providing a clear path forward.
Extend Learning Naturally
Field trips and real-life experiences help bring learning to life.
These do not need to be complicated. A walk outside, exploring your neighborhood, or visiting a local zoo can all reinforce what your child is learning.
Six field trips are also built into the curriculum at the end of each unit, with ideas you can easily do in your own community.
