More Ownership Means Less Resistance

Middle schoolers are ready to have more say in how their school day goes. Instead of managing their daily schedule for them, you can start handing over some of that responsibility. You set goals and make the plan together at the start of the year. From there, you work together to decide when work will get done and they'll use the weekly checklist to keep track. You are still there to guide them and help when needed, but they get the chance to practice managing more for themselves.

They’ll practice that same responsibility all year. Students keep goals in front of them, track grades and records, reflect on how the week went, and think about what they want to do differently next time. Scripture, habits, and practical life skills are built into this undated planner as well. It gives them real responsibility now, while you can still guide them before high school asks even more of them.

Features

Plan Your Own Week

Students work from a weekly checklist and decide when each assignment gets done, instead of waiting for you to make every plan. They get real practice managing their time while you are still there to review the week.

Middle School Homeschool Planner Year End Pages

Learn From Each Week

Student and parent check-ins help them notice what went well and what needs to change. They can think through how they used their time and choose something to work on next week. At the end of the year, they can write out their final thoughts on how it all went.

Keep Grades Organized

Students record assignments and grades by subject throughout the year. It gives them a clear place to keep track of their work and see how they are doing.

Track Hours as You Go

Volunteer and field-study hours can be recorded each week and totaled at the end of the year. They also learn to keep track of these hours for themselves.

Learn Important Biblical Terms

The Word of the Week introduces important biblical terms and gives students a simple definition to help them understand each one. Scripture and Quiet Time reminders also help keep God’s Word in front of them throughout the week.

Students have gradebook pages for each subject where they can record assignments and grades throughout the year. At the end of the year, they can total those hours and keep the information with the rest of their homeschool records.

  • What are the credentials of the Not Consumed team?

The Not Consumed team exists for one purpose: to help your family grow in faith so you can live #NotConsumed. We are homeschool parents with over 220 years of combined homeschooling experience, advanced degrees in education and curriculum design, and a deep love for serving families well. Every Bible study, family resource, and homeschool curriculum we create is anchored in Scripture and made to be practical, clear, and easy to use, because we know your days are already full.

We believe the best learning happens when families gather around God's Word together, so we create resources that work across ages and stages to make that time meaningful, approachable, and real.

  • What do you believe?

We are Bible-believing evangelical Christians. It's our mission to create products that handle the Word of God accurately and literally. We aim to get families into the Word for themselves and challenge them to read and think about it carefully rather than relying on the words and ideas of others. We believe all families should be asking about the theology of the resources they use, as nothing is neutral and everything has a worldview. Here is what we believe:

The Bible is God's Word and the final authority for everything we believe and how we live. It is completely true and trustworthy in all that it says, given to us by God down to its very words. There is one God who has always existed as three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God created all things, including human beings, by His own direct act. Salvation is a free and forever-secure gift, received by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus came in human flesh, was born of a virgin, and rose bodily from the grave. He will one day return in person, in His own body, to reign on the earth for a thousand years. This return will be personal, bodily, and premillennial.
