Uncovering Mercies at the Manger

OOPS! This product is on closeout because we found a few typos. On day 4, it says 24 years later, but it was supposed to be 15. On day 6, the text says that Jacob was having a dream, but it wasn't a dream. These mistakes should not impact your ability to use it (great opportunity for discussion), but we wanted to make you aware of the issues.

FAQ

I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.

I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word.

If you are buying digital, you may make as many copies for your own family as needed. It is intended for single-family use only. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.), you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on our digital site license page.

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

Amazing study for Christmas!

I loved the idea of this being an advent Bible study for the whole family. We got one study for each age group to do with our kids. Even as a parent, I learned new things, was encouraged to go deeper in study, and thoroughly enjoyed doing this study alongside my kiddos. This school year, our prayer has been for God to protect our eyes and ears from the lies of the enemy; this study helped us to be more aware of how easily we can believe we know God’s word but how important it is to actually KNOW what the Bible says rather than relying on what we’ve been told. Highly recommend this study, and I just bought extras so we can do it again in a couple of years.

Wonderful Advent Study!

What a wonderful and welcomed addition to our family’s advent traditions. I love how the study goes through the whole story, beginning to end. Each lesson is short and sweet and with just enough to give them a full picture of each day’s lesson. The girls also loved stickers used to track the genealogy.

Wonderful!

This was a beautiful study that helped focus our family on Christ this Christmas and the mercies that we see throughout the Bible that point us to Him. So over the moon to have found this company and this study. Excited to start the other studies we purchased.

Perfect for Christmas preparation

We used this study as a wonderful companion to our preparations for Christmas. It is such a great big picture story of how the entire Bible points to Jesus and His amazing gift to us. Lessons are thorough, but not too long, which has been great for our kids ages 8 and 11. Highly recommend these studies and we plan to do many more as a family!
