In a world where everyone has different opinions and values, conflict is inevitable. And anyone with kids knows that conflict is a guarantee in their house. It's impossible for us to hide from conflict in our everyday lives, so what should we do about it?
Making Peace is a 20-day Bible study designed for kids and families to teach biblical conflict resolution and understand the value and importance of being a peacemaker. Whether it's siblings bickering, petty fights between friends, or someone being unkind to your child, this study will give your kids the ability to:
This Bible study is available in 5 age levels from Pre-K to parent and is meant to be done individually and then discussed together. (More on our family Bible study model here.)
Why you'll love this Bible study
Whether it's in our homes, at church, at work, or at school, conflict fills every day of our lives. Each of us has differing opinions, and we value different things. We have to stand up for what's right and true against people who do wrong. But in all of these things, God calls all Christians to be peacemakers!
Making Peace is a 20-day Bible study on how to biblically deal with conflict and resolve it whenever possible. By seeing what God tells us in His Word about what a peacemaker truly is, where peace comes from, and how to make peace, we can learn to be peaceful—even when it's really hard or seems impossible!
This Bible study is available in 5 levels that work together perfectly for family study. Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme, no matter what age level your kids are working in.
Each study also comes with an age-appropriate fun pack that includes stickers and a bookmark.

My Golden Ship (ages 12+)
We all know the gnawing feeling that rears its ugly head as envy. Christians are not exempt, as we see in the case of Charlie, who says, “But don't it seem hard that some folks should have everything, and the other folks nothin’?” Soon Charlie realizes that envy escalates to bitterness and that his idea of what it’s like to have everything is far from the truth.
What version of the Bible do you use?
I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.
What do you believe?
I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
What age level should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please
check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!
How many copies should I buy?
If you are buying digital, you only need one copy. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.), you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.
If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word.
How long are your studies?
Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

All my kids loved it, when my preschooler sees someone fighting he will tell them "you have to be a peacemaker!"
Thank you for such a great resource for our families!
I got the pre-k and parent versions of this lesson and I can tell these will be an excellent tool set for helping my son and I keep peace during our day-to-day activities as he exercises his emerging independence! Very appropriately written for his age.
Our family has truly enjoyed this study. The pages are engaging and age appropriate as you discuss God's Word together. I like how easy it is to follow. You can adapt each day to go as deep or simple as your child needs. Love that it's Scripture driven.
Even if you have an only child who has no siblings, this study will certainly help him navigate conflict between friends, acquaintances, relatives, etc. It gives examples of the Bible as well as examples of real life according to your child's age. This study goes well after Navigating Friendships if your kid is having troubles putting the advice in real life.
This study is one our family desperately needs! I feel I’m constantly teaching and guiding toward resolving conflict biblically but feel like I get stuck often in being consistent. I am sure this study will not disappoint as the kids and I study what God has to say about conflict. My teens respond well to Kim’s style, and we love how grounded her studies are in the Word. Nothing made up here!
This was my first order from Not Consumed, and I ordered two Bible studies. They are beautifully done, and the extras it comes with make it feel special. I love that it gives the Bible verse reference and we are looking up the verses for ourselves!! Thank you for an amazing resource.
Perfect for families with multiple ages! All 4 of my kids do it together which is so perfect
We ordered this whole Bible study set and just got it in the mail. It's so beautifully put together, the scripture/learning looks fun for the kids, and they are so excited to start the Christmas study first! Thank you for creating this!
This study is not only well illustrated but biblically sound. We are enjoying going through this study as a family! Just amazing.
