My Brother's Keeper is a 4-week in-depth Bible study on the subject of sibling relationships. We will explore the stories of 10 different siblings from the Bible, some with beautiful stories and some with ugly ones.
Through the stories of these siblings and the pages of Scripture, your children will learn God's true purpose for siblings and families, the issues that siblings face, the responsibilities that they have as siblings, and practical tools for resolving the inevitable conflicts.
Why you'll love this Bible study
Are you at your wits' end over the fighting, constant bickering, and all-around mean behavior your kids show toward each other? Trust me, I've been there. All the best tricks and parenting books cannot solve the age-old problem of sibling rivalry. The only way to truly change it is to change the hearts of our kids through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
This sibling Bible study will help you equip your children to truly love their siblings and grow their faith in the process. It's about time for some peace around your house, isn't it?
Our Bible studies are available in 3 age levels that work together perfectly for family study. Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme no matter what age level your kids are working in.
Each study in the family Bible study bundle also comes with a fun pack including verse cards, stickers, and a bookmark. A fun and conversational Bible study button is also included.
Sibling Challenge Journal
The Sibling Challenge Journal is the perfect tool to help your kids learn to love their siblings and intentionally build healthy relationships. Once you've finished our sibling Bible study, it's time to put what you learned into practice. That's where the Sibling Challenge Journal comes in. You'll review your jobs as a sibling, journal to resolve conflict, meditate on helpful verses, and challenge yourself each week.
Elijah and the Famine (ages 8+)
When an eccentric professor brings his time machine to Crestview Elementary School for the science demonstration, six unsuspecting students are in for the adventure of a lifetime as they are accidentally sent back in time!
Whether you use it before, after, or during the study, this audio drama is sure to spark great conversations about building strong sibling relationships!
Sibling Challenge Game
Choose a different Sibling Challenge card each day to show an act of love or service to your sibling. After completing the challenge on the card, scratch off a star to reveal a letter that you will then use to decode the Secret Message card.
The game includes 3 different Secret Message cards so each Sibling Challenge Game can be played through completely 3 times!
What version of the Bible do you use?
I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.
What do you believe?
I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
What age level should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!
How many copies should I buy?
If you are buying digital, you only need one copy. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.) you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.
If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word. Please check out this video for more explanation on why this is so important!
How long are your studies?
Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

Fruit of the Tongue

Our Kids have loved this Bible study! We can’t wait to do another topic!
School year too busy to fit in a study like this? Ours too, but summer is a great time. Add in the routine of a fun study like this to help summer days go smoothly along!
We really enjoyed working through this study as a family. It was age appropriate and a challenging topic but very applicable. Honestly my only complaint is the cost. We would love to do more studies but buying five books for a 20 day study adds up pretty quickly. Having said that, we probably will come back for another study down the road. Thank you!
We have been doing our Brother's Keeper study with our 6 and 4 year old boys. Thanks to the description of each level, we decided to go with the Junior instead of Primary for our 6 yr old. It's the perfect level for his level of thinking and understanding. We will be able to complete this study again on the same levels and get an even deeper understanding! Plus it's making me and Dad dig deep into the Parent Guide!
Great Study! A little hard to keep my younger one engaged but overall really nice.
The kids and I are three lessons into the My Brother's Keeper study. My kids' ages are 7, 9, and 11, and I love that each workbook is tailored to their age level. All three kids are really enjoying it so far and are excited when I say it's time for a Bible study. The books are laid out simply for the kids to understand, and they love the goodies (button, bookmark, stickers) that come with each study.
This Bible study was amazing! All 3 of my kiddos (ages 13, 12 & 5) were engaged with each day of the study. The memory verses helped to “sink in” the lessons. I was able to watch a heart change happen between my children. The study was good for me as well! It showed me that I had my own areas that needed healing, areas where I was being unforgiving, areas that I needed to surrender to Jesus. I was expecting a Bible study to guide and scratch the surface so to speak, but what I got was soooo much better! My children and I received healing through His Word. This has not only taught us what God says about siblings, and how to be a better sibling. It has also taught my kids how to be better friends, cousins, neighbors, leaders in their youth group and responsible students. It has taught me how to be a better parent as well. Thank you Kim and Not Consumed! I am looking forward to studying more with you.❤️❤️
Our family has been delighted with many Not Consumed products, and your Brother's Keeper Study is no different. This study has been a lenten blessing to our household.
A homeschooling mama of 2 boys! My hubby and I are from homes with no siblings! So, this study has helped our parenting as well as the relationship between our kiddos! It’s fantastic! We are on our second trip through the study! We are picking up little nuggets s we missed last time! Incredible! Thank you for bringing peace to our home!
