Still Singing is a unit study curriculum focused on hymns people have been using for hundreds of years to help them focus on God's truth and trust Him in the hardest moments.
Learn why these hymns are treasures of the Christian faith and how they can help us trust God as you study each hymn. Written as a multi-age curriculum with extension activities for 4th grade and up, Still Singing can be used for a music appreciation credit in high school.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE STILL SINGING
Have you ever noticed how powerful music can be?
A song can help us memorize Scripture, remember God's truth in a situation, or encourage us to keep trusting Him even when life gets tough. Music is truly the heartbeat of our souls!
Still Singing is sure to become your family's favorite time together each day! Plus, your kids will dig deep into the Bible, practice writing and research skills, and learn to play a simple instrument: the tin whistle!
Don't worry if you don't know how to play or can't read music. My son Luke and I have put together music theory videos to help your child learn!
HOW IT WORKS
The study spans one school year, covering every season of life as well as holiday seasons.
Each hymn contains:
You'll also find a collection of hymns and tin whistle tablatures for each song in the appendix.

I love this music book! We are only a couple of lessons in, but my girls are absolutely loving playing their whistle. The devotional part of it started some great conversations the other night with all 3 of my kids. My kids are 11 and almost 9. Not something they will do alone but perfect for our homeschool day together.
Thank you for so many wonderful products! 5 stars!!!!
My son and daughter (7th and 8th grade) completed this curriculum this year. They both enjoyed it SO much and learned so much. It is so well put together and the songs and stories are beautiful. They were both able to pick up the tin whistle through the lessons very quickly and learned so many songs. I've enjoyed hearing them play so much this year! The stories behind the hymns are my favorite part. I wish there were another one - we'd love to do more! Thank you for this beautiful and well thought out music curriculum. We truly enjoyed it.
I love that my kids are becoming educated almost secondarily while they learn firstly about the Lord who I want them to know most of all ❤️ This strengthens their faith and deepens their love for Jesus while diving more into their music education.
My daughter plays violin and piano so while she completes the study on each hymn, she also learns or plays it on both of those instruments that week!
Still Singing: Hymn Stories For Every Season curriculum is easy for my student to complete independently and he looks forward to engaging the content daily. The music theory videos are helpful to us and enjoyable; they're not too long - short and to the point. The included CD has helped my student progress in the musical timing of the songs taught because he performs the song in tandem with the music tracks. If I could enhance this, I would by including a music theory option in each week's Extension Activity and include a parent guide of the weekly music theory topics taught, as well as a summary of the weekly Bible Truths presented.
We love the hymn study so much . My children love hymns and this just opened a new world on the meaning of them . Knowing the history of them makes them so much more special.
My kids and I are loving this book. I'm using it as our music curriculum this year for school and all 3 kids love learning to play the tin whistles and are excited to be able to play specials at church with them soon. We've memorized Amazing grace already and can play several others with the tablature. The hymn histories give the songs so much more meaning and depth and my kids are truly thinking about the words. I really appreciate the Bible study part of each hymn as well. Thank you for another great product!
We use this as our music program as we homeschool at home. We love learning about our favorite hymns and working through the bible studies together. I would love an answer sheet to the crosswords puzzles, although not terirbly difficult. We love tryin to play the tin whistle and the kids have taken the sheet music to try to play it on the keyboard and guitar on their own. This is enough to last us all year with christmas and easter hymns corresponding with the holidays, well done - thank you NC for the resource!
I honestly have to take this away from my student, so she can finish other things that need to be done. This has some biography, some character study, some bible study, some copy work, some music theory, some activity extension ideas. My student has really been enjoying this one! The tin whistle is fine, and the sound and ease of play is also fine. It was a fun to try a new thing...But we honestly prefer to use our recorder. And this substitution has posed absolutely no issues at all. My student loves the CD and is often singing the hymns through out the day. While I would not consider this a full unit study curriculum, if you have a day with field trips, errands, appointments, illness, etc. and formal study time is limited for what ever reason, this is a resource that covers a lot of subject areas.
We just started the hymn study. My granddaughter is 5 and we are going to be doing one hymn a month. I love it and so does my granddaughter. The story behind the writer of the song really brings the song to the heart. We talk about how the writer must have felt and the faith and hope they had in God. The scripture is so helpful and spurs on more discussion. The activities in the book also are great. As we do them together and there is constant conversation about God and who else in the Bible he helped in much of the same way. How he helps us today and why we follow, serve, praise and worship him. It will take us longer than most to get through the hymn study but we both will have a wonderful journey together learning scripture and song. Worshiping and Praising our Lord. Thank You this has blessed our homeschool and our life.
