Still Singing: Hymn Stories For Every Season

Still Singing is a unit study curriculum focused on hymns people have been using for hundreds of years to help them focus on God's truth and trust Him in the hardest moments.

Learn why these hymns are treasures of the Christian faith and how they can help us trust God as you study each hymn. Written as a multi-age curriculum with extension activities for 4th grade and up, Still Singing can be used for a music appreciation credit in high school.

Add the Sweetone Clarke Whistle in D to make this a complete package (not included with the hymn study).

A Must Buy!

I purchased this to incorporate more hymns and my children love it! I personally love the layout and learning about each one. If you’re looking to add hymnals, this is the perfect resource for your homeschool.

Love this!

The book is much larger than I had anticipated it being (totally a good thing:)). It is full of such wonderfully diverse activities which has kept my kids on their toes about what’s coming next. I’m thankful for the thoughtfulness of the extension activities which has allowed me to use this to cater to different age levels. The biography pages are wonderfully written with enough detail to educate but not too much to overload.

Bought this for the whole family!!

We got this curriculum for the coming fall 2023!! We would start now, but if we start in September we should hit the holidays on time!! My children are super excited to make a joyful noise unto the lord with playing hymns with their tin whistle!! My husband wants to join us so I bought a book for him and I to share, our two sons their own book, and everyone a tin whistle!!! We are really excited to make music for the Lord so the rocks don't have to cry out!!

Still Singing Hymn Stories is Amazing

I absolutely love this book. The hymn histories are touching, the workbook pages are fun, the music theory is helpful! My favorite part is the devotional sections of each lesson. I have the penny whistle too. I've been enjoying playing along with the CD! A few of my younger friends have the book and penny whistle also. We love practicing and playing together. Thank you, Kim and Leah, for your hard work in creating this great resource for personal enrichment and entertainment!

Beautifully done

I bought this for my homeschool. While the kids won’t be using it until next school year, I have been reading through it, and l love the hymns. I’ve already learned so much.

Well put together

I love the book. It is full of information and history of the hymns. I had been searching a while for a book that had Christian songs for the tin whistle. Even though my son is grown I can use the book for myself for Bible study and music theory. I can tell a lot of care was put into making this amazing book. It also has music for the piano, so I feel it is multifaceted. I would have definitely used this to teach my son when he was little.

Love this study!

My kids really like hearing the stories that led to these songs, to realize so much good can come from challenges, and to realize these are more than just words on a page! This study is increasing their (our!) sense of empathy for others, plus they love being able to play the songs! The tin whistle fingering plans allow them to use the recorders they’d been using already for music classes. The sheet music allows us to utilize on the piano, too!

Wonderful

I just love this music textbook. Goes great with Classical Conversations music and otherwise. Very nice set up and nice selection of hymns.
