In a world full of constant distractions, entertainment, and instant gratification, even adults are up against a lot when it comes to staying engaged with what is being taught at church. Our kids and teens face similar distractions. Plus some struggle with sitting still, understanding big words, and many other totally normal things.
The Sermon Notebook is here to help you get more out of the sermon!
Available in three age levels: primary (ages 5-7), junior (ages 8-12), and teen/adult.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THE SERMON NOTEBOOK
Inside, you'll find an age-appropriate note-taking page, a prayer list, and even a place to record your favorite Bible verses. My favorite part is the space to record your personal testimony. It's a precious keepsake for your kids as they grow in Christ!
The Sermon Notebook is nice and compact, measuring 6"x 9" with 104 pages for taking notes. It's the perfect companion size for your Bible. There are four versions of the Sermon Notebook: Primary, Junior, Youth in Gray, and Youth in Teal.
The Junior level is written for strong readers and writers, typically ages 8–12. Simple prompts will help them look for themes and specific elements of the sermon, like the title and main passage, as well as the people and events discussed. They can then record main points and their own thoughts in the lined space on the next page.
The Gray Sermon Notebook is written for teens and adults and has a more simple and minimalist design. This journal includes a header on every other page for recording the date, sermon, Scripture, and speaker. Pages are lined and include a bullet-journal style box for recording related passages, giving you plenty of space to take notes and write out your thoughts as well as personal application.
The Teal Sermon Notebook is written for teens and adults and has beautiful floral designs throughout its pages. This journal includes a header on every other page for recording the date, sermon, Scripture, and speaker. Pages alternate between lined and bullet-journal style, giving you plenty of space to take notes and write out your thoughts as well as personal application.
Primary is written for young children ages 5–7. This notebook bundle comes with the Follow Page Markers, Gel Pen Set, and Books of the Bible Bookmark.
Junior is written for strong readers and writers, typically ages 8–12. This notebook bundle comes with the Follow Page Markers, Gel Pen Set, and Psalms Bookmark.
Gray is written for ages 13–adult and has a more simple and minimalist design. This notebook bundle comes with the Wisdom Page Markers, Gel Pen Set, and Books of the Bible Bookmark.
Teal is written for ages 13–adult and has beautiful floral designs throughout its pages. This notebook bundle comes with the Seek Him Page Markers, Gel Pen Set, and Psalms Bookmark.

This tool has been great for my son to focus on the sermon in “big” church more. Now that my daughter is going to be joining us, I grabbed a copy for her as well.
I accidentally bought two, but it worked out. My older son loved writing in it, my younger son doesn’t read or write yet, but is excited that he has his own book. He draws pictures in it and listens to the sermon.
I purchased the primary version of this when my daughter was about 6 and just learning to listen a little more and write in church. We use outlines in our church, but they were still a little beyond her at that time. This sermon notebook gave her a nice way to organize her thoughts as she was learning to pay attention more. It was also a helpful starting point for us in discussing her takeaways later. Definitely recommend to families!
I had purchased the digital copy of this and then ended up purchasing a physical item for both myself and my husband. These are wonderful. I love the ability to take notes for church and then come back later and think it through more. I highly recommend these even for adults. My only request would be to make the ones for adults have more pages, similar in size to the prayer journal.
Love the sermon notebooks. I’ve given them as gifts to teenage girls and women I know. They’ve been much appreciated and used!!
My son started coming to “big church” once a month. This is such a great tool to keep him engaged in the sermon.
The primary book helps my young child pay attention during our Bible Study evenings at church. He can easily listen for words to keep tally marks and draw pictures of what he hears.
My older two children (age 11 and 13) have been using these for a while now, and they (and I) are loving them! They’ve been paying attention in church and taking great notes! Having these books has made them more excited about listening during the sermon.
These notebooks have been a great help for my boys as they follow along with the message each Sunday. We're very happy with our purchase.
