We're using this study for my 3rd graders history, and love it! It's very flexible and easy to add to (we use supplements like library books, documentaries, etc). I love that it integrates scripture and character traits into each lesson about a missionary. Just ordered Volume 2!
We just started this together and we love it! I bought three journals for each of my children, but one set of the readers and we read the chapters out loud together, taking turns reading. This gives my son with dyslexia a safe environment to practice reading while my other two kids slow down to work o their tone and inflection while reading to an audience. We are loving our book on Hudson Taylor and looking forward to the rest of the study!!! The kids love their journals as well!
This is such a wonderful resource. We are all learning so much, and my daughter is even driven to study on further after using this curriculum. Wonderful Biblical truths are being learned and we are very glad we bought this, and will be happy to buy the new study in this series when it is complete!
My son has loved reading about missionaries from around the world! He is always excited to tell us what he read about each day. The workbook is definitely geared for a little younger, but for my 13 year old is an easy fun thing to do every day. Highly recommend
To every nation was an opportunity for us to do something different. I've been homeschooling for a few years now and wanted something with depth and meaning. This study has provided that for us. As of today we have finished two books and are about to start on the third one. My children are 8&9, and I was in disbelief with their reactions as I read to them. Even more so when they ask for another chapter. My husband has sat down with us to listen and asked for a follow up on what happen since then.
When it comes to the notebook, my children don't expand much on their answers but they sure can verbally express all that they would like to write down. The hard part they find is the last page for each notebooking page and I think that is understandable. I am certain that we will go through these books again in the future when they are older.
From my son- This book is cool but kind of sad, I like it.-
This is my first year homeschooling and prior to this my oldest son went to a Classical Christian School. He kept telling me about George Muller and how he wanted me to read the same book. I could never find what he was talking about so when I saw this set I thought I’d try it. Sure enough, once they arrived, I discovered they were the same books my son’s teacher had been reading at school. What a nice surprise! Currently we are working through Hudson Taylor and my kids love hearing the stories. So worth it! It’s even been encouraging to me to hear all the ways God answered Hudson’s prayers. I have 4 sons (8, 6, 4 & 2).
I have three kids (ages 9,8,and3) and we have enjoyed learning about so many heros of our faith. The study its self is though provoking and spurs on great discussion. It is easily adaptable for all my children with a quick pinterst search for a coloring page or craft. It lends itself nicely to a unit study but stands on its own easily as well. I highly recommend To Every Nation. God has used it to grow the faith of our whole family.
The kids and I are loving the missionary study. We love learning about each missionary. Each missionary has character qualities my kids are enjoying learning about. I am enjoying having everything planned and laid out so we learn about these missionaries in our homeschool now rather than waiting until they are older.
My kids love this study. They especially enjoy reading the books. I love that they are learning to follow God and be fearless each day as they go through their books.
