Teach your kids the importance of obedience by laying the right foundation: God's Word. Obey is a 4-week Bible study for kids ages 4+ focused on getting to the heart of the matter.
Journey through scripture and learn about people who struggled with obedience in this kid's Bible study that includes HOW, WHY, and WHEN we should obey. Children will be challenged to seek answers in the Bible for the number one issue in their lives: obedience.
Nothing will be mailed to you as this is a digital product. The Bible study fun pack does NOT come with the digital files. You can print off the file and staple it together. We like to use fun duct tape to secure the staples and keep them from poking.
If you'd like a softcover version, instead of digital, please click here.

Here's What You'll Love
Are you tired of "because I said so" as your only line of defense for getting your children to obey? Do you wish they would understand the importance of obedience?
What if I told you that you can teach your kids to actually WANT to obey?
YOU CAN.
It's not some far-fetched parenting dream. Building a foundation of biblical truth is the way to help your children want to obey for the right reasons.
This study will help you build a Biblical foundation for the importance of obedience, without having to do all of the work and research yourself. You know, because you've got goldfish to clean out of the carpets and Legos to fish out of the toilet, right? Haha. Let's get started today!
Our Bible studies come in 3 age levels that work together perfectly for family study. Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme no matter what age level your kids are working in.
Primary Level (ages 4-7)
Junior Level (ages 8-12)
Parent Guide
Our parent guide is the perfect addition to help you easily facilitate family Bible study. Each day, you will progress through the same main ideas and key passages your kids will be studying.
Plus, we've added parent tips along the way to help you lead discussion as a family.
Having the whole family thinking on the same key truths of Scripture will create a more natural environment to talk about the Lord. We know you'll love it!
What version of the Bible do you use?
I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.
What do you believe?
I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
What age level should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the difference between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!
How many copies should I buy?
If you are buying digital, you only need one copy. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc) you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.
If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book as it is designed to recording their drawings and responses to the Word. Please check out this video for more explanation on why this is so important!
How long are your studies?
Each Bible study is a slightly different length ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

This resource was great! We used this for worship time with our two children who are 4 and 7 years old. The kids loved the drawing section. My only complaint was that it was advertised as a 4 week Bible study, but the lowest level only has 5 lessons a week. Personally we have devotions every day, not just on school days..... we did it every day so finished
Kim is gifted in helping kids to reframe their thoughts an actions. We have used several of her books to help our kids in their relationships with each other, but this book helped their relationship with me, and with themselves!
I am excited to use this with my children. I just purchased this and I think it will really help our character building!
This was the first Not Consumed product I first stumbled upon online as I was searching for something to help my children learn to obey! I bought, printed and completed this study with my kids years ago now. It is a great product! I actually purchased it again for my neighbor's children a year or so ago. This study does a great job of teaching the why behind obedience. This product was so amazing it led to my purchase of many other of the products Kim has created! You can see some of my other reviews on other products! I have this study planned into our homeschool year again this year as I think it will be good for my children to complete again, since it's been so long.
I loved this study. It really did transform the way my kids and I viewed discipline. It was so good that we’ve been through it a few times now. I just pull it back out any time we start struggling. Kim’s wisdom is so logical and practical and scripture based. It really makes my kids think and leads them to conclusions of their own. Five stars all the way.
This children's devotion was extremely easy to print out and go through with our children. We all enjoyed the material and layout. Both of my boys have been applying what was taught daily since finishing this. We are grateful for this Godly study and are working our way through the next one we picked. We will be using each of these studies to help direct our children through their spiritual development.
We loved this study! My kids will still quote the different things laid out in this study...obey without delay...obey completely...etc. I love how Kim uses stories from the bible of real people add examples of how and why we souls obey!
