2024 Redesign Now Available!

Reading the Bible in their own personal devotional time is a big step for young Christians! It's a learned habit and can be overwhelming because it does not come naturally, especially to kids! As parents, we can help our kids by providing resources for their daily quiet time.

Over the course of 28 days, our Developing a Quiet Time Bible Study teaches the importance of a consistent quiet time, helps build habits that will last a lifetime, and even includes daily songs, memory verses, and prayers for a more fruitful and vibrant time spent with God.

FAQ

There is no scripture written out in our studies, only references. When it comes to growing faith, it's crucial that kids look up passages in the Bible for themselves and our studies are written to help them do that!

We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.

We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth. Read more here.

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

If you are buying digital, you may make as many copies for your own family as needed. It is intended for single-family use only.

We highly encourage you to make sure that each child can participate by having their own copy on their own level. You can learn more about why in this video.

If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.), you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on our digital site license page.

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

Great foundation!

This is a great starting point! Each day's work is manageable in length so it isn't overwhelming, yet there is more than enough scripture in each lesson to qualify as Bible study. So many quiet time resources for teens are shallow with very little scripture or the scripture is printed for them depriving them of the joy of searching the Bible for the scripture. As we are going through this, often my girls will light up and tell me, oh I like the verse before the one she asked us to read. Or the one after. Hands down the single most important thing in my relationship with Christ has been the development of a daily quiet time. So I appreciate that this is showing my kids the reasons why we have a daily walk, gives them the tools to be able to develop this discipline on their own and isn't watered down to a few commonly known scripture passages.

God’s word does not return void!

Doing this study with my 3 kids of different ages, and my youngest needed help so I started working with him on day 1…by day 3 we had talked about having an old & new self and this was a pivotal point where he said he had prayed and asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins and be his Savior!! What a gift! It has been exciting to continue on through this study together, and we especially like that it includes some songs and scripture memory.

If your child is toward the youngest age for this study, they may need help working through it…but I don’t think that’s a bad thing! They may be ready to do it on their own, if no— go ahead & be their shepherd & help them walk through it.

Developing a quiet time set our family up for Bible Study

Highly recommend this Bible study. This set us up with the foundation for daily Bible study. Before this I tried a number of different Bible study options, but I couldn't manage to stick with any of them long term. Praise The Lord and thank you to Kim and her team, as this laid down a foundation for Bible study that was easy to follow for myself and my kids and is now the basis for our worship, devotion and Bible study each morning. We have now completed a few other NC Bible studies since last year due to this program setting us all up for success.

Great Study to do First

This Bible Study teaches your kids HOW to develop the habit of spending time studying God's Word on a daily basis. I'd recommend doing this one first. I have personally enjoyed the Parent Guide version of the Bible Studies, while my 10 & 12 yr old love the Junior versions. It's great to be planting the seed of studying independently, while being able to come together and share our own thoughts in a common study. Studies are so well done!
