Teach your kids how to have a quiet time with this Bible study. Designed to give them a solid foundation, Developing A Quiet Time helps kids learn HOW to spend time with God and WHY they should make it a consistent habit.
During their 28 days of study, kids will learn what the Bible has to say about this topic, how a daily quiet time will affect their lives, and a simple way to spend their time with God.
Nothing will be mailed to you as this is a digital product. The Bible study fun pack does NOT come with the digital files. You can print off the file and staple it together. We like to use fun duct tape to secure the staples and keep them from poking.
If you'd like a softcover version, instead of digital, please click here.
Here's What You'll Love
With 66% of young people walking away from today's churches, we know we've got to be incredibly intentional about helping our children build a solid foundation of faith.
Developing a daily quiet time is one giant step on this journey.
But few people ever learn HOW to have a quiet time, much less why God wants us to. Don't let this happen to your child. We've made it super easy to help your child develop this crucial habit.
At the end of the study, kids have guided practice as they learn to take the reins on their own. Written for ages 8 and up.
This Bible is available in 2 age levels that work together perfectly for family study. Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme no matter what age level your kids are working in. Junior (ages 8-12) and Youth (ages 13+) can be done independently.
Note: There is not a Primary version for this study; it is designed for older kids and teens.
Junior Level (ages 8-12)
Youth Level (ages 13+)
What version of the Bible do you use?
I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.
What do you believe?
I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
What age level should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please
check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!
How many copies should I buy?
If you are buying digital, you only need one copy of each age level you will be using. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.) you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.
If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word.
How long are your studies?
Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.
Studies with 20 lessons:

Do Right
Fruit of the Tongue

Doing this study with my 3 kids of different ages, and my youngest needed help so I started working with him on day 1…by day 3 we had talked about having an old & new self and this was a pivotal point where he said he had prayed and asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins and be his Savior!! What a gift! It has been exciting to continue on through this study together, and we especially like that it includes some songs and scripture memory.
If your child is toward the youngest age for this study, they may need help working through it…but I don’t think that’s a bad thing! They may be ready to do it on their own, if no— go ahead & be their shepherd & help them walk through it.

Highly recommend this Bible study. This set us up with the foundation for daily Bible study. Before this I tried a number of different Bible study options, but I couldn't manage to stick with any of them long term. Praise The Lord and thank you to Kim and her team, as this laid down a foundation for Bible study that was easy to follow for myself and my kids and is now the basis for our worship, devotion and Bible study each morning. We have now completed a few other NC Bible studies since last year due to this program setting us all up for success.
Learning to study the Bible on their own is SO important. This study is a great step in the right direction for independent study.
This study has been valuable for my 10.year old as he learns how to study the Bible during his quiet time.
My kids love this Bible study and so do I! All your Bible studies has been such a blessing to us and it really strengthens our faith and family relationships. ❤
This Bible Study teaches your kids HOW to develop the habit of spending time studying God's Word on a daily basis. I'd recommend doing this one first. I have personally enjoyed the Parent Guide version of the Bible Studies, while my 10 & 12 yr old love the Junior versions. It's great to be planting the seed of studying independently, while being able to come together and share our own thoughts in a common study. Studies are so well done!
This is a great way for your kids to learn how to have a quiet time.
Purchased this devotional for my 8 and 9-year-old, it is summertime and we needed some good Biblical content to start their day off.
It is easy for them to do it without any help!!
Tomorrow will be our second day, and they are both looking forward to it.
