My Brother's Keeper is a 4-week in-depth Bible study on the subject of sibling relationships. We will explore the stories of 10 different siblings from the Bible, some with beautiful stories and some with ugly ones.

Through the stories of these siblings and the pages of Scripture, your children will learn God's true purpose for siblings and families, the issues that siblings face, the responsibilities that they have as siblings, and practical tools for building sibling relationships.

FAQ

There is no scripture written out in our studies, only references. When it comes to growing faith, it's crucial that kids look up passages in the Bible for themselves and our studies are written to help them do that!

We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.

We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth. Read more here.

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

You'll want to purchase one copy per child at their specific age level. This will enable children to study at their level and record their own drawings and responses to the Word.

We highly encourage you to make sure that each child can participate by having their own book on their own level. You can learn more about why in this video.

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

Great study!

This is the first study we're doing from Not Consumed. I bought the primary for my 8 year old, and the junior for the 11 and 12 year olds. Usually I pre-read the parent study a day ahead of time, look over the other workbooks for my kids' studies (go over any questions in the books, any writing prompts, Scripture passages, etc) and then pencil in those in my book, so that I could ask those questions while going over my lesson book with them. So far the kids like it. I like that it uses a somewhat of a spiral learning, where one lesson is based on info that was learned in previous lesson (ex- God created everything perfectly, God created family, what siblings are made for, what I'm made for my siblings, etc).
I've ordered the heart study now, and hope full will study that next year with the kids.
Thanks!

Great for learning to handle conflict and improve sibling bonds

I used this with my daughters (16 & 8). I also have a 2 year old son. As I have come to expect from Not Consumed this is a well written study with visually appealing design. As usual each kid gets their own book according to their level which is wonderful. I have the parent one and we all do the same lesson and have coordinated discussion after we work independently. The daily devotions & writing/drawing is just the right length- in depth learning but not overly complicated or long so they complete it quickly. The kids liked the weekly challenge cards. This study was great for working through some problematic sibling dynamics we were struggling with. My middle daughter was feeling overshadowed, jealous and criticized by her older sister while being constantly annoyed and impatient with her younger brother's rambunctious behavior. She had become overly sensitive to everything big sister said or did and her yelling at both siblings and running off crying to her room had become an almost a daily occurrence. This study was perfect timing. The girls learned about keeping an unselfish and service mind set towards their siblings. It's not all about them! They learned how to handle being wronged, forgive, and how to ask for forgiveness and make things right when they did the wrong thing. My older daughter had time to reflect on how she contributed to her sister feeling so criticized and take ownership to proactively work on improving their dynamic. My middle daughter worked on giving the benefit of the doubt to her big sister and having more patience and positivity for her little brother. They learned how important our siblings are & how it really matters to put effort in to maintain a good lifelong relationship. They are going to need eachother and it can bring so much joy sharing life with the ones who know you in a unique and deeper way from anyone else in the world. We especially enjoyed the day where we had to come up with different role playing scenarios. We acted them out and got real creative & silly with some of them. We were dying laughing. My 2 year old joined in with us on and off as usual, and he benefitted from what his sisters learned & got to play with the stickers. So many great discussions were sparked by this study. I highly recommend it!

Absolutely Wonderful

I did this study with my 6 and 7 year old daughters. It was perfect! It has given us great talking points when conflicts inevitably arise and they have really gotten along so much better. They look forward to their daily bible study time. I could not recommend it more!

Sibling Bible Study

I absolutely loved the sibling Bible study "My Brother's Keeper." Being in the Word each school day together, was such a sweet time, I didn't want it to end! We ended up buying more studies and can't wait to start them . I have a 4, 6 and 10 year old and we were able to sit together and do it. Although I found it best when I did the Parent Guide ahead of time, so I knew what was coming and was able to help the younger two when they needed it. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend

We have four kids and this study has created a great common language to refer back to. Remember that God intentionally put each member of our family together for a purpose is so powerful! He doesn't make mistakes and he knew we were going to need each other and make a great team if we let Him. Thankful for the solid and memorable truths in each lesson.

Love these devos

These are by far the best devotionals I have found for my 9 year old son. They are rich in scripture and truth and the length and depth is perfect for his attention span! We're starting with the devo on conflict and then moving to this one but both are set up the same. I just can't say enough good things! I've told all of my friends about Not Consumed and plan to continue using them for my nightly quiet time with my boys!

Love this study already!

My 3 homeschooled children and I are enjoying this so much already. It's to the point, backed with scripture with no busy work. The questions are thought provoking for them and it's overall wonderful. We can't wait to try the others subjects of study.

We are using this curriculum for our wed night summer children’s class. We love how colorful it is and all the bonus stuff from stickers to bookmarkers. The challenge cards are so applicable.
