I have started our study with the game as an introduction. These little activities put a little positivity back in our hearts, and help remind us of the greatness of siblings. I have two kids, so we complete 2 cards a lesson (there is a scratch-off for each card). Each kid gets to scratch off a star to reveal a letter in part of a secret code. I can't wait to see the secret message!
My boys get so excited to do this every day! A great way to learn how to serve one another in love.
This sibling challenge game is super fun for my 6 & 8 year olds. There are a variety of challenges and activities to complete. They ask to do them vs my having to force them. It’s just such a great addition to the Bible study.
My kids weren't so sure at first when they had to "serve" their siblings. However, after a couple of rounds they all look forward to picking out a card with our Bible Study lessons!
We got the Quiet Time book to start with and to establish a routine of taking the quiet time. Now, we are starting the Brothers Keeper one with both my 10 and 8 year olds... the 3 year old is included with them. We got the cards, and they are loving the sibling card game the most! They are excited to pick a card each day and serve their sibling in fun, interactive (and sometimes quiet) moments. Thank you! We love it!
We love this game! It’s easy for different ages to participate together. My kids really look forward to drawing new cards. It’s been so good for them and helps them to think about doing kind things for each other at other times as well.
My kids love it!
So I wasn't sure how this would work with 6 kids but it has been awesome. Each week we have each kid draw a siblings name out of a hat and one sibling challenge card. By the end of the week they need to complete the challenge card with that sibling and they also pray for that sibling all week long to then at the end of the week we scratch off a star on each card. My kids love this and it is awesome to see them excited to serve their siblings. We can easily go through this all three times for each star but I have a feeling we will continue well beyond the three because they are enjoying it so much and because it is about creating a culture of strong relationships not just completing a task. Highly reccomend.
So far my kids are really enjoying this, as well as myself. We do it 3/4 days a week depending on our week. I’m trying to make it go a little over a month. Which is hard as it’s only 21 lessons. Being on a budget I would of loved that it was a month or 2 months for a lesson. But try to budget it in so we can by more.
