Full of useful information… while offering engaging hand-on activities for my 9 and 11 year olds… manageable chunks that hold their interest and really STICK for them!
We are slowly working our way through the book and are loving every minute of it.
We have been using this for several months now and absolutely love it! My kids are 6 and 3. The information is clear, concise and appropriate for even littles. It is a great tool for improving Bible literacy and building a strong foundation from the earliest years.
I have kids ages 10, 9, 7, and 3. We are using this as part of our morning time--we do scripture memory, sing a hymn, and then do 1-2 pages from this (my kids make notes in their bible notebook as we read and discuss). It has been such a neat study. We are not deep diving right now, but my kids are making real, strong connections. And our favorite part is the highlight of people who exhibit one of the characteristics. It might take a longer than I anticipated to complete the OT, but the longer journey can only benefit all of us!
We’ve done several Not Consumed Bible studies as our Bible for homeschool, but this one we’ve been using after a meal with devotion time. Dad reads and each kid adds stickers and notes to their own book. Mondays are always fun because we each read a verse from the book of the Bible, and the kids write the references for their favorite verses in their journal. The other days we go over a name of God, attribute, Christian story and timeline. It’s been enjoyable and so glad dad is getting to take the lead on this one.
The kids have already calculated when we’ll be ready for the New Testament books.
I. Love. This. Flip-book.
The quality is great. It's in bite-size chunks. I love the set-up and the style. It sits on my kitchen counter and is often what we read at breakfast time or the start of the school day. I can't wait to buy the NT one!
We are enjoying this fresh approach to the Old Testament and heroes of the Christian faith! This resource was recommended by another family who also was using the same systematic timeline approach to history that we are, and it was the perfect addition to our morning Bible study. We leave the flip book on the table so family members who leave at different times can read it at mealtimes. It allows for discussion later in the day when we are all together as well.
We just started this this week. It's a great segue to conversations with the kids. Nice quality and well spaced out, with 5 lessons per week, so we will be using it weekly.
I purchased this to use for our homeschool Bible class, and we are all loving it. (I have a 5th, 6th and 8th grader.) It takes us just a few minutes to do every morning, but I am amazed at how much info my children are retaining. I especially love the names of God.
