FAQ

There is no scripture written out in our studies, only references. When it comes to growing faith, it's crucial that kids look up passages in the Bible for themselves and our studies are written to help them do that!

We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.

We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth. Read more here.

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

You'll want to purchase one copy per child at their specific age level. This will enable children to study at their level and record their own drawings and responses to the Word.

We highly encourage you to make sure that each child can participate by having their own book on their own level. You can learn more about why in this video.

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

Great for kids and parents!

So far this series has exceeded my expectations. It's keeping my children engaged. It has thought provoking questions that our family can really interact together and have a thoughtful discussion about trials, tribulations, and how God is there to help us through all our struggles. I would definitely buy another series!

Kids are SO excited!

Getting this Bible study in the mail was like Christmas for my kids. They loved the squishy lemon and the twist crayons. They are excited to learn about all the books in this series of how God puts the sweetness in life when life gives us lemons!

Going to do this series with everyone!

My daughter and I are going through this series, but as we go we keep thinking that someone else in our family would really enjoy learning what we are learning. We are an adoptive family and that often comes with big emotions. These studies get to the heart of the matter, but without being too heavy or making anyone feel ashamed. The author doesn’t mince words and asked the reader (kid or adult) to take responsibility when there is sin, but hope is always presented in a very balanced way. I’ve seen such peace and growth from my daughter that I plan to buy each of my boys a set this fall.

Great for Families!

We are on our second study from NotConsumed. Before this we did the "Brother's Keeper" family bible study. Currently we are going through "Don't Blow Up!" I really appreciate how these lessons are written. They are right from scripture and to the point with just a few illustrations here and there to help kids relate to the lesson. My favorite lesson in this book so far is #10 "When People Tell me What to Do." Key verses here are Prov 9:9 and Prov 12:1. This lesson was perfect for homeschooling! While anyone can apply this to any school-aged child and any adult, it was especially useful to discover that God wants us to know how to learn. And the truth is that learning means we have to love instruction, direction and even CORRECTION. If we don't love learning how to do something the right way, we will keep doing it the wrong way or never learn to do it at all. The secret to success in learning is to LOVE correction. And the more you are willing to receive correction, the more wisdom and knowledge you will have. I'm going to remember this one! Thanks again!
