Reading the Bible in their own personal devotional time is a big step for young Christians! It's a learned habit and can be overwhelming because it does not come naturally, especially to kids! As parents, we can help our kids by providing resources for their daily quiet time.
Over the course of 28 days, our Developing a Quiet Time Bible Study teaches the importance of a consistent quiet time, helps build habits that will last a lifetime, and even includes daily songs, memory verses, and prayers for a more fruitful and vibrant time spent with God.
This Bible study is available in 3 age levels and is meant to be done individually, then discussed together as a family. Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme, no matter what age level your kids are working in. (More on our Family Bible Study Model HERE)

We are both learning so much with this, and getting in a good habit of quiet time with God almost daily. I am hoping we get to a point where we can be daily, but life happens sometimes. I am learning though that even if I don't have time to sit down and do the whole study, I can still take the time to pray to God, worship Him, and read some of the Bible.. and at the very minimum pray and tell God good morning. Love this entire series.
This Bible study is an essential! I would recommend it as the one to start with, as it helps you have great study/worship habits from the start! I love that it starts with greeting God, which helps us remember that God is a person and we should interact with him as such. I also loves that it provides some hymns to incorporate!
I cannot say enough good things about this study. I was not taught how to have a quiet time as a child. Now as an adult, I struggle. I did not want that for my children. This has been the perfect study to go through with my children and it is helping all of us.
I bought this guide for my daughter and I for Christmas. We loved doing it together each night.
This Bible Study has helped my kids and myself establish a quiet time and also better understand the reason for a quiet time with the Lord. So thankful for these studies!
My daughter and I enjoyed this study. We are not singers, but I think we both looked forward to the part when we sang a Hymn.
My 9 year old son has loved doing this study on his own! The only thing he doesn't like is the praise part--probably because he feels awkward doing it and also because he doesn't see his dad or I singing worship songs during our quiet times. Otherwise, I love how this guides him through doing his own quiet time. He is a more independent child, and so this study allows him to learn on his own and then we can talk about it. I only wish I had done this when I was his age!
First time attempting a Bible study alone. It keeps me accountable to learn a new habit of quiet time. The scripture memory is difficult for me but it is still a goal I’m working towards.
