FAQ

I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.

I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word.

If you are buying digital, you may make as many copies for your own family as needed. It is intended for single-family use only. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.), you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on our digital site license page.

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

OBEY is a blessing!

We are using the OBEY Bible study and it is perfect for my boys! They are 6 and 8 and do NOT like to write so I purchased the PRIMARY version. I was a little worried the content may be too easy and not hold their attention, as they are fluent readers. have fantastic reasoning skills, and are fairly knowledgeable about a great many Bible narratives. However, this study have proven to be a great way to get them finding books of the Bible, verses, and answering questions, as well as starting strong conversations about this very important topic of obedience. We have also read further in many of the stories and had more rich discussion. If we do nothing else each day, we have done what is most important by spending time in the Word and seeking God's truth. I love the prayer prompts as well and am so thankful to have that as a guide for encouraging my boys to pray through scripture for God to help them grow spiritually in obedience. I am happy to add that I have heard my older boy tell his brother, "It's more important to obey!" I Highly recommend this study!

Great way to introduce independent quiet time that builds up to family devotion

I have been looking for Bible Study series that will enable the children to do their quiet time independently while emphasising on the need to read the Bible. I like that Not Consumed Bible Studies intentionally do not quote Bible verses and therefore encouraging the actual reading of the Bible.
The studies were appropriate for all age levels and the application questions opened up more conversations around the table.
The children love the studies and are more eager to pick their Bibles more consistently.
I would recommend this study for any family any time. I know well be redoing it after sometime because the truths are timeless and Obedience is key to faith.

Excellent

This is the second study we did as a family (the first being My Brother's Keeper). It was just as amazing! I just love the applicable questions. It leads to some really good conversations. Don't hesitate if you have younger kiddos as well. My first grader was right in there in the conversations with us. I look forward to getting my next devotional.

This is a FANTASTIC study!

I cannot love this Bible study enough. I have a 6 yr old and a 3.5 yr old that I am guiding through this study, and it has been SO HELPFUL in our home. I can simply ask, "are you obeying without question?", and they know exactly what I am talking about. I am looking forward to work through the other studies as well. Lifer over here!

Great family unit. Lessons learned for everyone.

This study is profound. I think I've learned more than my kids, and I think I've needed this more than my kids. My 3 kids aged 4-7 love doing the study as a family and are enjoying getting to draw as they reflect on the lessons. They also enjoy hearing mom and dad's examples of our own obedience or struggles with disobedience.

In my opinion, this is another home run! This was a great Bible study for our family. I love that it is not watered down for the little guys and is right on target. I love the challenging questions that even catch the heart of my 9 year old. Awesome job on these Bible studies.
