Fruit of the Tongue Bible Study

Fruit of the Tongue Bible Study

Do you find your kids complaining a lot? Or maybe they tend to speak carelessly, or even say unkind or mean things? They may know that their tongue is out of control, but they don't understand the importance of taming it.

Our Fruit of the Tongue Bible study is designed to help guide kids to an understanding that their words matter–to God and to everyone around them. While looking at Scripture, this study will:

  • Show what the Bible has to say about the impact of our words
  • Teach children the importance of speaking wisely
  • Help them learn how to build and restore relationships by controlling their tongues

FAQ

There is no scripture written out in our studies, only references. When it comes to growing faith, it's crucial that kids look up passages in the Bible for themselves and our studies are written to help them do that!

We study and write using ESV, as well as a variety of translations. Special attention has been given to make sure kids can answer questions regardless of the translation they are using.

We believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth. Read more here.

This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!

You'll want to purchase one copy per child at their specific age level. This will enable children to study at their level and record their own drawings and responses to the Word.

We highly encourage you to make sure that each child can participate by having their own book on their own level. You can learn more about why in this video.

Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.

One of our favorites

We have purchased almost couple of sets of Bible studies from Not consumed, and this was one of our favorite Bible studies. It really visualizes what it means to acquire the different virtues for a child. Thanks NC for the creativity!

I and my husband have been doing these with the kids. We both have been challenged with our words and we have seen a change in the kids too. I love watching God work in our family! He is ever faithful!

Great bible study

We did this bible study right after My Brother’s Keeper. My 6 and 7 year old daughters love it. It gives us a great framework to talk about the words we use just beyond “be kind”. These bible studies are so powerful when you do them together.

FRUIT OF THE TONGUE AND OBEY

We have really enjoyed both of these studies so far and wil be doing more in the future. They are affordable for me to purchase and i find them put together really well and they are not hard for the kids to do. They learn alot and we actually all do as a family and it is so wonderful! Thank you for these products. I recommend them to other homeschool moms and am going to start a local Christian girls club in my town and use these as our study since they are so affordable and fun.

Fruit of the Tongue

Let’s put this study in simple terms…after using this a few lessons, my 13 yo granddaughter and I had common language to use when realizing how our tongues can curse or bless. We have stopped each other and asked a simple question: blessing or curse? Flip it to blessing, please. She gets it and we are progressing in the direction given to us by our Lord. James 3 was the lesson at church this week which this study comes from. God is best when we sit back into His Word.

Great study! We have a teenager and an 8 year old, and it is so nice to be able to get workbooks that are on their specific level! Plus, it is great that there is also a parent study! Excellant way to focus on the things we say and what the Bible has to say about it!

GREAT study for different ages

This has been an amazing study for my 7 and 10-year-olds. I love how it is written. Slightly different based on the age. The kids are blown away each day after we finish, because so much of what My husband and I have been trying to teach them. They are realizing truly is biblical. I can't wait purchase another study for them. Great job on a powerful Bible study for children!

This has been such a great study for our family. It’s really given us all so much more depth on “think before you speak.”

Great Study!

This was a great way to help my son understand the way his words can help or hurt. We use the junior level and it was great for my 7 year old but if you wanted something less involved, I would use the level below junior. There is a bunch of writing for the junior level and thoughtful questions in addition to the comprehension parts after the scripture is read.
