I had been looking for something my 2nd grader could use to correspond with reading. He loves to read on his own and was really “beyond” a lot of the learning-to-read curriculums out there. This is a perfect tool; it allows him to free read, but then also comprehend was he had read and analyze it. The bonus is that I’ll be able to use it with each of my children for multiple years.

I just want to say I love this book (Because I Said So) and we are only a fourth of the way through. I have been able to keep my kids interested and I am learning also. Thank you for taking the time to pray and receive from the Lord this gift he’s given you as a writer or allowing him to write through you rather.

I just ordered this Bible study and I am very excited to begin it with my children (10,9 and 6). After reading through it, I am impressed with how Biblically solid it was. So many times I find I need to omit one thing or another that I think is not quite right. Thank you for putting this together. I look forward to other resources you put together!

I want to start by saying thank you…the 31 day challenge has been incredibly inspiring and encouraging! I find myself eager once again to do my quiet times with the Lord!! I’m a night owl by nature so the bulk of my time in God’s Word is after I get my kids in bed. Yet, I’ve committed (because of your influence) to start my days with just a few minutes focusing on the Lord to give my days a better start…and I’ll confess it’s working!! I’ve had a solid week, that, while far from perfect, has been better…lighter…less tense than previously! So thank you for being a wiling vessel to be used by God! I thank Him for you and your talents with the written word every day!

This Bible study (Because I Said So) revolutionized how we train our kids in obedience. The short sentences for each day were easily memorized by my four year old (i.e. “God desires that we obey without delay.”) I even put some of the sentences to a familiar tune and I sometimes catch him singing it by himself! This Bible study helped us to know what to say to our kids, in language they understand. I highly recommend it! As an added bonus, my son can now draw something and tell me what’s going on in the picture! He never would draw before.

Kim's "Count Your Blessings" Thanksgiving Hymn study is a blessing for my family. I have always wanted to teach our children about hymns, but truthfully, was unsure where to start. This study takes all the guess work out and allows me to teach my children about hymns that will naturally help increase their gratitude to God for all He has done! Now that I've been introduced to her studies, I can't wait to dig into her other Hymn Studies!

Thank you for this life changing study. I have struggled with fear and anxiety for years. I even knew how I was supposed to handle it, but would get frozen in my fear and it would not only consume me, but negatively affect my children, husband, schooling the kids and responsibilities.
This study (#notconsumed) game me the tools and know how to apply it all. Walking through a current valley of hard times still hasn’t been easy, but each day I have been able to rise above my fear even if it’s minute by minute and function. This is huge for me!

This Bible study (Because I Said So) was something that God sent to me when I needed it most because I didn’t know what else to do. My son would not obey. I kept trying to be creative and come up with ways that would get his attention, but nothing worked. A friend told me about Kim’s website because of a homeschooling blog she had read… I never made it to her home school section until recently. I got lost in her parenting blogs and I ordered Because I Said So. As it opened my 4-year-old’s eyes; it encouraged me to be faithful in requiring obedience from him. I printed it off and laminated it so I can re-use it again and again with him. It is an excellent from start to finish and shows why it is so important to obey.

What a wonderful way to keep the focus where it should be during the busy season. I love that I can use it with all three of my boys- all of different ages. I LOVE the old hymns and cherish sharing them with my children!

I have a 10, 8 and 5 year old so I purchased the bundle. I love how each daily lesson is on the exact same topic but differentiated. I have recommended this study to everyone with kids on my Facebook.

The study (My Brother's Keeper) is simple and short enough for my busy 5 yo and in depth for my older children. It’s a great way for them to connect their daily lives with God’s Word. I see the immediate impact that it is having and pray that it carries on with them in the future. I love that the lessons give specific things for them to pray for as well.

Thanks so much for this (Weekly Checklist)! Between making a focus page with daily/weekly/monthly expectations plus focus of each term written out for both kids along with this – your daily accountability sheet, our communication is greatly increased! I think they both feel more in control of their own work which makes it easier to have a good attitude about it. Here’s to a great year!

Thank you Kim, for your wonderful blog, and the free printables. I attended one of your sessions at TTD Sandusky, and have since been all over your blog. Your breakfast station ideas have helped with not just breakfast, but lunch as well. The student checklists have remade our schooling day. I love them! And there must be something to them for our family since the devil has tried for coming on two weeks to discourage me and cause chaos with the younger two to distract from helping the older two finishing their work.

Thank you for helping to encourage me, and so many others!

We’ve been using this (My Brother's Keeper) for just a week. Already, my children are showing progress! My son, who tends to be a bit on the gruff side, sat at the table and cried because the lesson touched his heart so. It really reaches out to the children, gets them thinking and helps them understand how God wants them to take care of each other. Love it! Thank you so much!

Now I can spend more time actually ENJOYING our lunch break instead of WORKING it. Our co-op days run much smoother since the kids can select and pack their own individual lunches for the day. My kids actually LIKE these recipes and will eat all their food. Your ideas have even taught my children how they can streamline other portions of their day through pre-planning and preparedness.

I was very excited when you announced your "My Brother's Keeper" study and I purchased it right away. I just wanted to let you know that it has been such a blessing!! My kids both loved it and told me "This is so much fun!" and my son told me that even the first study already changed his attitude about his sister. We have been working on character, love, kindness, etc. for years (ages 9 & 7), but I love how your study goes in depth to the purpose of families and the spiritual battle going on over each of our families, etc. etc. I can see the wheels spinning as they ponder these things. You've got a great way of explaining things and making them simple and understandable. Thanks so much!

We have been using My Brother’s Keeper as an ‘every other day’ bible study in between just getting into the word. This devotional has been an incredible blessing for,our family. First off, just getting to do this with both children (6 and 10) in ways they can both understand has been a great bonding experience. The Lord laid on Kim’s heart all the things needed to churn the child’s heart toward desiring God to be in the details of the sibling relationship. My kids look forward to doing this study, and once it is completed, we will treasure it as a keepsake of their youth!

I am looking forward to getting started with this Bible study (Developing A Quiet Time). I have talked to my children for a long time about quiet time with the Lord but it never stuck. I am going to start using this with them after we are finished with My Brother’s Keeper. I am excited to have this study and am looking forward to the fruit of this

I first met you at last year's TTD in Atlanta. After attending your first session of the weekend, I followed you around like a groupie to your other sessions, hah! I have become a loyal customer and love your ministry - I can't wait to see you again in a few weeks in Atlanta. Safe travels and blessings as you prepare for your conferences!

Love this resource! My 3 children are working through it this summer. 10, 12 and 14 – they are working together in the standard book. Taking turns reading the verses and answering the questions aloud. We discuss the daily lesson as a family over dinner. It has been very interesting hearing their different perspectives and seeing them search their hearts as siblings to work on this important relationship! Love it.

This Bible study (My Brother's Keeper) has really helped explain the concept of loving each other more. They do love each other more and more as we go through each lesson. Thank you, thank you for bringing so much joy to my family. Another single mom

I have the Junior & Youth versions of A Content Heart for my 3 boys, aged 16, 13 & 8. It’s a thought provoking study for them, helping see their lives from God’s perspective. They’re starting to appreciate that we actually have an abundance of blessings, meaning they have no cause to complain! The older 2 are becoming less inclined to whinge and happier to help each other as they learn to recognise that every situation is from God.

My family just adopted a little boy from our state’s Foster care system. Sibling relationships have been tough, and that may be putting it mildly. My boys and I have been going through My Brother’s Keeper and I just cannot thank you enough for the healing we are seeing from it. We have a ways to go but I thank you for putting together a stellar study. It has been a breath of fresh air in our tired, tense home. I’m looking forward to checking out your other studies when we finish this one. Thanks again…

I love this study and I echo all of the other strengths pointed out by the other reviewers. It has been an excellent way to bring out God’s truth to my children (4 and 8) concerning their often STRAINED interactions with each other. I love that it gives me “fodder” for discussion throughout the day. For example, a few moments ago they were fighting over a toy and I was able to bring up yesterday’s study on “envy”– wanting what belongs to others. They responded immediately to the correction, hopefully remembering that “God does not want us to envy our siblings.” Love how the Word of God is living and active! Thanks for making it simple and spoon-feedable to our kids. (I also like that it involves little to NO prep.)

I really appreciated finding this study (My Brother's Keeper) when the bickering between my kiddos seemed to reach a peak. While it may not change the dynamic of sibling rivalry, I love that I have examples and verses to remind them of. Walking through the study with my kids even revealed areas in my own heart where my relationship with my sister needs to see forgiveness and love. Thank you!
We will be starting your newest study after Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to reminding us all to be content.

Kim searched the Bible and gathered all the details of what God has to say about sibling relationships. She’s made it easy for parents to teach and engaging for kids. This is a must study topic for any family trying to navigate the ups and downs of living with brothers and sisters.”

I have personally watched Kim walk (and sometimes crawl) through this excruciating valley of life. And I’ve seen her love and teach her kids so beautifully even in the midst of the devastation, just as she writes about in these pages. She’s learned these lessons through the fire. The things she encourages us as moms to teach our kids are things that God has proven powerful in her own mothering journey. I’m honored to recommend this book (Not a Statistic). I truly believe that every mom could benefit from this practical, inspiring read.

I purchased this one (Victorious Family Bundle), not because I am a single mom, but because my son felt like God wouldn’t help him with his sin. I love the focus on who God is that you get with this study! We are not very far into it yet, but I am so thankful God lead me to find this blog/website!! A much needed aide as I raise my son!

Our family absolutely loved the When I Survey study…an awesome resource to keep our family grounded and focused on the meaning of Easter! 🙂

This is a great resource (Weekly Checklist) to encourage self discipline for our children. It gives them space to keep track of everything they need to accomplish each week and encourages them to self evaluate. Parents are then able to evaluate and discuss if the parental evaluation matches up with the child’s evaluation and find out why or why not. I love this.

I really like the different “levels” (of New Beginnings). It gives me a little bit deeper study and helps me give a manageable study to my kids. We can all do it together at the same time, but my favorite way is if I can do mine before they do theirs so I can be fully available to help them read theirs and answer their questions as they are working. If they don’t need my help on a particular day then I can go through it again.

The When I Survey hymn study is a wonderful, Christ-centered addition to our Easter focus. I have been unable to work hymn studies into our curriculum until I purchased this and Gloria. I would love to get Count Your Blessings to add to the mix. It was nice to choose 4 hymns to focus on this year and know I can use this same resource over and over.

We added in the Gloria hymn study this past December and I do appreciated the effort to put this material together for families to use. I not very musical and have so appreciated and enjoyed using this resource with my children.

We are using both the youth and junior versions of A Content Heart. It has been the perfect study to do with my 3 kids right before Christmas. The impact was immediate from the very beginning. I love how they are processing God’s word and learning more about how to be content not only with what they have but with the amazing people that God created them to be. It has been a blessing for me, too, during this time of year when it is easy to go overboard with “stuff”. I highly recommend!

Every night my girls say “can we please do our Bible study?!” They love it (A Content Heart) and look forward to it and I feel the same. I love being able to talk about something that we deal with and showing them that the Bible has relevant answers for us. I highly recommend this to every family

I have been doing this Bible study (Foundations of Faith) with my husband and kids, and what a blessing it’s been! Kim Sorgius has a wonderful gift of reaching adults and children alike in these studies. While we’ve always talked to our kids about God and the Bible, this study has really challenged us to sit down as a family and come up with some very clear outlines of where we stand based on what the Bible says rather than just being influenced by other things like tradition, upbringing, or even people. Kim never pushes her opinion, but with this study she challenges us to find what God wants by asking questions and providing scripture for us to clearly see what the Bible says. I would absolutely recommend this study for every family. My husband and I both have really enjoyed it, and our kids look forward to doing it every single day and sitting down to discuss it each night.

The Thanksgiving Hymn Study is more in-depth than I was expecting! Besides just learning the history of the hymns, there are lots of hands-on activities to help the child truly learn about each hymn and appreciate it. A great study for every family that wants to learn more about Thanksgiving hymns!

Thank you for taking the time to write this series (#notconsumed). I’m battling Stage 4 breast cancer, and like you, I don’t want to go through this, but I have no choice. But I do have a choice in my attitude and how I handle it. I’ve been talking about that a lot with my husband and friends the past few months as I began treatment and look ahead to the difficult road ahead of me this year. I pray that God will be glorified each day and in each conversation, blog post, text, etc. that I have with others. It’s not always easy, but I’m thankful that no matter what comes in the future, God will be there with us.

I am working through this with my 7 and 9 year olds. This study (A Content Heart) is just what I was looking for ! I bought both the Junior and the Youth versions since my 7 year old does not do well with writing yet. However, we’re pretty much just using the Junior version because my girls both love the drawing aspects so much! I truly do love seeing their illustrations as well. We were fascinated to learn the worldly versus biblical definitions of words like content and happiness and joy. We can’t wait to finish the study! Thank You!

This has been a wonderful resource (Homeschool Portfolio) for our homeschool! I typically don’t do well with a schedule and we had been “wingin’ it” A LOT! This has really helped us develop a plan and stay on a schedule. It has also made it a lot easier to keep records. My kiddos have enjoyed being able to see their assignments and check them off as they’re done. I usually spend a ton of time planning, but having each subject laid out has kept me on task and I get it done in half the time! I highly recommend it for any homeschooling family

I just purchased this! I love it! This will be such a sanity saver. I can’t believe I have never thought to put the cereal in individual serving size bags….genius! Cereal drives me crazy as when the kids help themselves, they usually pour too much, and much goes to waste! I have a few other breakfast recipes I will be adding to this bulk breakfast station; baked oatmeal “cupcakes”, homemade poptarts, sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches, and french toast or waffles. Thank you so much. This was a blessing.
