Life is a lot like a long journey on a ship. Some days are sunny and pleasant. Other days are rainy and dreary. And sometimes there are days when the howling wind and crashing waves are bigger than we can handle on our own. That's why God gave us friends!
In this 4-week Bible study, discover God's perfect plan for friendship, how to make friends, how to be a good friend, and how to pick a good friend. Friendship is a beautiful gift, and you can learn to navigate it well!
We've made it easy-peasy by putting together the perfect kit to help your child learn Biblical truth and have fun doing it. But if you'd like to study as a family taking advantage of our family bundle deals or just purchase individual books, you may do that at the bottom of this page.
⭐️ Age-appropriate Bible study with our signature Bible study fun pack: 4 memory verse cards, a bookmark, and super cute stickers
⭐️ An irresistibly creative pen and Bible study button
⭐️ Audio adventure to help bring the Bible to life
The core of our kit is our age-appropriate Bible study for kids and teens. We've designed these to help kids get INTO GOD'S WORD for themselves. That means you won't find any printed Scripture, just references to look up.
Our Bible studies come in 3 age levels that fit together perfectly. Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme no matter what age level your kids are working in. Primary is for ages 4-7 and meant to be done together with a parent. Junior (ages 8-12) and Youth (ages 12+) can be done independently.
If you'd like to study together as a family, check out the Family Bible Study Bundle and parent guide. Or if your budget is tight, you can also choose to buy just the Bible study book separately here.

Our Bible study kits are all about God's truth being presented in an engaging way for young people. So naturally, we've included some of our favorite extras. Our fun pens make writing irresistible. And your kids will love displaying their button as both a reminder of the truths they are learning and a great way to open the conversation with others as they wear it around.
Basket of Flowers
James, the king's gardener, teaches his 15-year-old daughter Mary all the principles of godliness through his flowers. She is falsely accused of stealing, and the penalty is death. Mary learns how difficult friendship can sometimes be and how beautiful it is once restored.
Whether you use it before, after, or during the study, it's sure to spark great conversations about friendship and truth!
Kits are great, but sometimes the budget is tight! We get it. You can buy just the Bible study book, which includes the fun pack (bookmark, memory cards, and stickers) by clicking below.

What version of the Bible do you use?
I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.
What do you believe?
I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
What age level should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!
How many copies should I buy?
If you are buying digital, you only need one copy. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.) you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.
If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word. Please check out this video for more explanation on why this is so important!
How long are your studies?
Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.
Studies with 20 lessons:
Obey
Do Right
Fruit of the Tongue
My Brother's Keeper
Navigating Friendships
Foundations of Faith
A Content Heart
Studies with 25 lessons:
Keep Thy Heart
Studies with 28 lessons:
Developing a Quiet Time
This is the first study we’ve done from Not Consumed and my 8yo loves it! We are using it as a spring board to do a group study with friends (they are all working through the book, too). We are using the junior version, which is perfect for my new reader and handwriting resistant girl. It’s not overwhelming for her and she looks forward to doing the study daily!
The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars is because on day 3, it concentrates on siblings......my daughter is an only child (as is one of the friends in our group) & she felt alienated in this day of study. We talked about how she could apply the lesson anyway and how not everything is about her. But, I would offer a suggestion to the author to keep that in mind for future studies or if you ever release an updated version of this one. I’m not asking for that day to be taken out; I’m just asking for a section to be added that speaks to only children because my daughter and her friend can’t be the only ones!! (If this is addressed later in the book, please disregard this part of the review....).
Thank you for all you do! We have ordered another Bible study and the missionaries curriculum and are excited for those as well!
