Foundations of Faith: What We Believe and Why (Digital)
Foundations of Faith is a Bible study for kids and teens unlike any of our other studies. Using a family Bible study format, this parent-led study will equip you to lead discussions on difficult issues and develop a statement of faith that will be a keepsake and a teaching tool for years to come.
Nothing will be mailed to you as this is adigital product.(The Bible study fun pack does NOT come with the digital files.) You can print off the file and staple it together. We like to use fun duct tape to secure the staples and keep them from poking.
The Bible calls us to teach our children diligently and you're certainly trying. But in the wake of disappointing court rulings and scandalous baby killing videos, the question must be asked: Do my kids REALLY know what the Bible says about this?
I found myself wondering the same thing after my daughter asked me a question I thought surely she knew the answer to. That day everything changed. I knew I had to give my kids the tools they need to stand strong and defend their faith. If I didn't, I'd find them eating out of the hands of wolves.
This study will help your family develop a statement of faith on crucial topics before it's too late. Let me make the process easy-peasy for you to start!
Rest assured, you are not told what to think about these very important issues but are provided with Scripture, additional reading, and thoughtful questions to ponder as you consider each of the issues at hand. It's very important that families consider the facts as they develop their own statements of faith. The content was developed with a non-denominational flexibility to ensure that your family can have the reins.
The Perfect Family Bible Study!
Different from our other Not Consumed studies, this study begins with our Parent Guide as the starting point. The Parent Guide is then supplemented with the Junior or Youth levels for your kids. This study is not available in the primary age level (ages 4-8), as the content may not be appropriate.
Part 1 lays the foundation with a 10-lesson Bible study of the basics of the Christian faith. Each family member has lessons on his/her age-level to complete and then come together to discuss. We recommend getting a book for each member.
Part 2 digs deep into 10 cultural issues kids and teens face in society today, such as the sanctity of life and marriage, media use, and purity.
You'll find a list of Bible verses to ponder, helpful resources, and questions to ask as a family. Space to record your family’s statement of faith regarding that issue is included as well.
Each lesson has a consistent key truth, key Scripture, and central theme no matter what age level your kids are working in.
Junior Level (ages 8-12)
Children work independently then discuss with the family
Children have lines and boxes to write or draw responses
Two to four verses to read per lesson

Youth Level (ages 13+)

Our parent guide is the perfect addition to help you easily facilitate family Bible study. Each day, you will progress through the same main ideas and key passages your kids will be studying. Plus, we've added parent tips along the way to help you lead the discussion as a family.
What version of the Bible do you use?
I study and write using the KJV and ESV Bibles. However, my studies are written with the intent that children and families will look up Scripture in the Bible of their choice, with specific attention taken to assure questions can be answered from a variety of translations. So you should be able to use whatever version your family prefers. It's my passion to see kids opening the Bible themselves, so we've been very intentional about this.
What do you believe?
I believe that the Bible is the absolute authority in matters of faith and practice. It's 100% true, with no exceptions or figurative sections. I believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation and virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
What age level should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get around here. Please check out this video. I'll show you the differences between the levels and walk you through how to use them as a family!
How many copies should I buy?
If you are buying digital, you only need one copy of each age level you will be using. If you plan to share with people outside of your home (like a group, co-op, church, etc.) you will need a site license to do so. Those can be found on each product's page.
If you are buying softcover, you should purchase one copy per child. This will enable children to write in the book, as it is designed to record their drawings and responses to the Word. Please check out this video for more explanation on why this is so important!
How long are your studies?
Each Bible study is a slightly different length, ranging from 20 lessons to 28 lessons. We suggest doing one lesson a day. Most kids find that it takes about 15 minutes a day.
