I have never been so excited for a bible study for my kids. I may even do it with them! I love how it’s a smaller notebook. Not overwhelming texts & work. Content is perfect for learning the bible and how it applies to you. Love the themed books too.
I am OVERJOYED! We have been faithfully in the word and praying with our kids since they were very small, but as they have grown it has become so difficult to find scripture based, scripture led materials. I teach 5-6th graders a survey of the Bible at our church, so it is really important to me! These study’s are EXACTLY what we were looking for. I am currently using the “youth” studies with my 11 year old (she is used to being in her Bible) and sitting with her to discuss what the scripture is teaching. In the first month, the change in her willingness to hear Gods word and and apply it to her life has been amazing. I chose My Brothers Keeper as our first study. After the first week, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, “Mom, I had no idea what I was doing to my brother, and you and dad.” She was learning what God sees when He looks at her brother, and then on her own, applied that to her family. We have laughed and cried, but most of all we have stayed firmly grounded in the Word of God. Two other things I appreciate: the focus on confession to God and others and the call to my kid to serve and be a DOER, not just at hearer, of God’s Word. This is NOT a “devo” with cherry-picked verses used out of the context of scripture to fit the topic, and a paragraph about some made up event that could happen next to a locker at a random middle school. This is a Bible Study, tailored specifically for her age group. Yesterday we started Fruit of the Tongue, she picked it because she recognized!!! that that is an area she needs to focus on in her relationship with God and others. Thank you to #notconsumed for the time and effort you put in. You showed love to my child by using your gift for writing accessible studies! I highly recommend!
